ACCOUNT & SUBSCRIPTION
Account & subscriptions
Check your account and subscription status before getting started, updating a configuration or moving to another device.
Do I need an email address to get started? How should I keep my account details safe?
No email address is required. You can create an account with a username and password. Choose details that are easy for you to store but hard for others to guess, and save them in a trusted password manager. After signing in, make sure the dashboard shows your account before checking your plan and subscription options. Since an email address is not required, don't assume you can recover your account by email. If you have trouble signing in, follow the recovery options actually shown in the dashboard. When asking someone for help, describe the issue without sharing your password or full subscription link.
How do I import a subscription link and refresh the server list?
Sign in to the user dashboard and check your current plan status. Get your subscription from the dashboard, then import it by following your client's instructions. The server list should appear after import. To refresh it, use the subscription or configuration management section in the client instead of repeatedly creating configurations with the same name. If the update fails, first make sure your device can reach the subscription page, then check the dashboard to see whether the link has changed. If the dashboard has reset the link, replace the old one and update again. Menu names vary between clients, so follow the interface you see.
Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices? Which platforms are supported?
VPNRW supports unlimited devices, so changing devices alone doesn't mean you need a new plan. Supported platforms include Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Sign in to the same account on the new device, use the dashboard to access the client download and subscription options, and import the configuration using the guide for your platform. Unlimited devices doesn't mean unlimited data, so keep an eye on your plan's data allowance and status. Before handing an old device to someone else, remove any saved subscription configuration and login details to prevent continued use of your account.
Can I share my subscription link? What should I do if it may have been exposed?
Treat your subscription link like an account credential. Don't post it in public forums, include it in screenshots, or submit it to third-party testing sites. Anyone with the link may be able to import the configuration and use your account data, so hide the full link, QR code and account details before sharing troubleshooting materials. If you think the link has been exposed, check whether the dashboard offers a subscription reset, replace the link as instructed, then update the configurations on your own devices. If there is no reset option, describe the issue in a support ticket after signing in. Changing your password doesn't necessarily affect the subscription link, so check it separately.
CONNECTION & DIAGNOSTICS
Connections & troubleshooting
First distinguish between your local network, client configuration and target app. Troubleshoot one at a time and note the result of each change.
The import worked, but I can't access websites. Where should I start troubleshooting?
Temporarily disconnect the client and make sure the device can access the internet on its own. Then check your plan status and remaining data in the dashboard. Update the subscription, select a route, and confirm the client is connected with any required system proxy or network control permissions enabled. If only your browser is affected, check whether a browser proxy extension conflicts with the client. If all apps are affected, try another route for comparison. Change one setting at a time and note the result so you can identify the cause instead of changing routes, rules and system settings all at once.
Why does a browser work while a particular app still can't connect?
A working browser doesn't mean every app is using the same proxy route. Some apps ignore the system proxy, and client routing rules may send a domain over a direct connection. Check the client's supported traffic-capture options and current rules to confirm that traffic from the app is routed through the client, then check the network permissions granted by your system. If the client allows it, temporarily adjust the mode for comparison, then restore your preferred everyday settings. If only one app fails, also check the app's service status, account region and platform-specific restrictions.
Should I delete the client if a subscription update fails or reports a configuration error?
Keep any configuration that still works; there's no need to delete the client right away. Check that the subscription link is complete, that no spaces were added when copying it, and that your device can access the dashboard. Make sure you downloaded the client from the link provided in the dashboard, then import the subscription using a method the client supports. Not all configuration formats are interchangeable. If the dashboard link has changed, replace the old one and refresh. If you need help, note the client name, platform and exact error message, then submit a redacted screenshot in a support ticket. Don't attach the full subscription details.
How should I report certificate, DNS or sign-in errors?
Check that your device's date and time are correct, then identify whether the issue occurs when signing in to the dashboard, updating the subscription or accessing a website. Don't resolve certificate warnings by disabling verification. Avoid repeatedly changing system settings for DNS issues unless you understand the effect. In your support ticket, include your platform, client name, route region, affected app or domain, and what changed after switching routes. Keep the error text intact where possible, but hide passwords, QR codes, payment details and subscription links in screenshots. Pinpointing the stage where the issue occurs is more helpful than simply saying that it doesn't work.
ROUTES & EVERYDAY USE
Speed & routes
Compare routes in the apps you actually use. Check coverage, route types and platform region rules separately.
How should I choose between IEPL, relay and direct routes?
Route types can help guide your choice, but they don't guarantee performance on every network. An IEPL route is worth comparing for extended viewing or longer sessions. A relay route may help when a direct path performs poorly, while a direct route lets you compare the path from your local network to the destination region. The results depend on your device, ISP network and target app. Keep the destination region and app the same, then compare route types and observe page loads, playback and session stability. Don't assume a route is always faster based on its label, or that a region name implies a dedicated IP.
How can I tell what's causing buffering or slow downloads during peak hours?
Pause bandwidth-heavy tasks on the same network and check your Wi-Fi signal. Then compare another route using the same app and content. If all routes are slow, start by checking your local network and device. If only one route is affected, try other available routes in the same region, then compare route types. Video buffering can also be caused by playback quality, the content server or the platform's region checks, so don't assume the subscription is the only cause. When reporting the issue, describe what you were doing, the route region and roughly when it happened. Repeated large-file tests aren't necessary and may use up your plan data.
Which regions are available? How do I choose a route for streaming or AI tools?
VPNRW covers 90+ countries with 220+ routes. Check the client list for available regions and route types. For streaming, first check your account region, the content library you want and the platform's rules. For AI tools, check which regions the service supports and any account requirements, then choose a suitable route. Connecting successfully and being accepted by a platform are separate steps; regional coverage doesn't guarantee access to every platform. For longer sessions, try to keep the same route. If an error occurs, check the platform's message before switching routes for a specific reason rather than changing exits at random.
Why can a route test look good while real-world performance is still slow?
A route test measures performance for a particular destination and testing method; it can't replace the experience in your actual apps. Page loads depend on DNS resolution, connection setup and content resources. Video also depends on the streaming service and account region, while downloads depend on the file's source. Compare available routes using the same device, network and app, and use your direct connection as a reference instead of focusing on one test score. Route details shown in the client aren't a guarantee of sustained performance. If the issue only affects a specific site, include the site and steps to reproduce it in your report so the route issue can be distinguished from a problem with the destination service.
BILLING & REFUNDS
Billing & refunds
Find separate details on pricing, data resets and data packs. Manage order changes and requests through the user dashboard.
How much do monthly plans cost, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans cost ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the date your plan starts, not automatically at the beginning of each calendar month. Choose a plan based on the apps you use, your viewing habits and how many devices will share the account, then check the plan details on the plans page. After paying, return to the dashboard to confirm the order and plan status, then get or update your subscription. If the status doesn't match what you expected, keep your order record and check with support instead of paying again to refresh it. The dashboard shows your current data allowance and reset details.
What's the difference between a data pack and a monthly plan? What happens if I upgrade mid-cycle?
Data packs cost ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB or ¥658 for 3000GB. They remain valid until used and never expire. Monthly plan data resets on the date the plan starts. The difference is how billing and data usage work; monthly reset rules don't apply to data packs. If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Review the change details shown in the dashboard before confirming. Before switching between plans or deciding what happens to existing resources, check the current order details. Don't assume data will be combined or all remaining data will be retained in the same way.
Which payment methods are supported? What should I do if my status doesn't update after payment?
Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Check the current order in the user dashboard for available payment options. Before paying, verify the plan, amount and order details. Follow the instructions on the page, then return to your order list to check the result. If payment is complete but the plan hasn't appeared, don't create another order or pay again. Refresh the order status, keep the payment record and use a support ticket to report the mismatch between your order and account status. For USDT, carefully check the network and payment instructions on the current payment page. Don't rely on old screenshots or information forwarded by someone else, and don't share full payment details publicly.
How long is the refund period, and where do I apply?
VPNRW offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user dashboard, open a support ticket, state that you'd like a refund and provide enough order information for the team to verify it. Read the refund policy and terms of service for applicable details. Before submitting, check the status of the relevant order so you don't confuse an unpaid order with a completed payment. Keep the original order record and ticket correspondence, and don't send your account password or full subscription link. Follow the ticket response for updates and next steps; processing times not listed on the site aren't guaranteed.
